The Warrior Wash

David Bachelor has experienced war - both in America and in Iraq. He knows how hard it is to regain intimacy with God and humanity after exposure to conflict.

David participated in law enforcement’s restoration of order to Los Angeles during the riots of 1992. Healso served two tours of duty as a Navy chaplain with Marines in Anbar province, Iraq. The aftermath of these operations showed him the need for the local church to become the portal through which warriors re-enter the community of God and man.

Unfortunately, David found that local churches are ill-equipped for the job. Many pastors have never served in the military. And even for those who have served, the restoration of veterans to post-conflict life is not something that is taught in seminary. From first-hand experience, David learned that the best of intentions are not good enough to free veterans from their deployment issues.

As a result, David returned to civilian life with a strong desire to search the Scriptures. He enrolled in a doctoral degree program, and through his dissertation research he discovered that God has already provided the model for bringing warriors home. This is the basis for Warrior Wash Ministries. David has a passionate desire to share God’s plan for warrior reintegration with veterans, their loved ones and local churches.
